Calling all Okte Owls!
Get ready to embark on an amazing adventure with our Summer Reading Challenge, All you have to do is read for at least 1,000 minutes, and guess what? Mrs. Strangis and Mrs. Holland will give you a special shout-out in the fall to celebrate your awesome achievement! Here's the secret: If you read for just 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week, you'll reach the magical 1,000-minute mark before you know it. Imagine all the fantastic stories, cool graphic novels, ebooks, and audiobooks you can enjoy during this exciting challenge! Keep track of your reading minutes with your Summer Reading Challenge Log. But wait, there's more! As a special treat, you'll receive the fantastic Oktavia Reader Award. Your name will be proudly displayed on our colorful bulletin board and our website, so everyone can see what a reading superstar you are! Okte Skate Night - November 1st

Who: Our Okte Family! Please pre-purchase tickets for students, siblings, parents, family, & friends! What: A fun evening on out with Okte friends & family (or friends from other schools) to support our PTA! When: Friday November 1st 6:30-9:30 PM Where: Guptill’s Arena www.guptillsarena.com 1085 New Loudon Road, Cohoes, NY 12047 Cost: $5 admission per person with a pre-purchased ticket, skate rentals not included. LAST DAY TO BUY TICKETS IS October 28th. **Must have pre-purchased tickets to get the $5.00 rate.** Non-skaters do not need a ticket. This is NOT a drop-off event. Parents or guardians must stay with their students. |

Student Drop-Off and Student Pick-Up Procedures
Okte Parent End of Day/Early Release Please notify our Attendance Secretary by calling at 518-881-0540 if you will be changing the transportation plans for your child. All pick-up information needs to be communicated before 2 pm daily. Absent or Late: Please notify our Attendance Secretary at 518-881-0540.
